prayer life. This is a time of devotion to Jesus. People

The lector mission is to proclaim the Word of God at
worship services in a meaningful way. This involves the
study of scripture that is proclaimed and practicing

Rehearsals are every Wednesday from 6:30-7:45pm, September – April.
The choir sings on major feasts of the Church, Christmas
and Easter, plus some Holy Days. The choir is open to
any person 18 years and older. |

This is a contemporary choir with more instrumentation.
Rehearsals are on Monday from 8-9pm but not scheduled
every week. The Ensemble sings approximately two times

The Youth Choir is open to students in grades 7-12. Rehearsals
are every Wednesday from 7:45-8:15pm when CCD is in session.
Singers, instrumentalists are always needed for this

The ministry of the cantor is a very important role to
the liturgy of the Church. This person is required to
lead the psalm at each liturgical celebration along with
all of the other congregational songs. Cantors are scheduled
for every liturgical celebration, except when a choir
is singing. This person must have some ability to read
music.

The role of the server is to enhance the parish’s
worship by assisting the priest at the Eucharist and
by carrying candles in processions. Servers, both boys
and girls, begin in the sixth grade or above and continue
through high school. There are also some adult servers. |

The Religious Education ministry is a group of catechists
and assistants for grades preschool through 12. Catechists
provide for the faith formation of our youth by teaching
CCD classes. Catechists attend classes offered through
the Archdiocese of Cincinnati to become certified so
that our program is the best it can be. Assistants perform
secretarial work during the teaching periods and help
with special programs, i.e., Confirmation preparation,
St. Francis animal blessing celebration, All Saints Day
party, children’s Christmas pageant, etc. |

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is
a process by which the Church initiates new members.
The process provides appropriate spiritual formation
according to each person’s needs through catechesis
