Pastor's Message

Serving at Holy Redeemer has been such a blessing, I have seen God's hand on this ministry. He knows each one of you by name and what an honor it is for me to know you as well. With multiple services and ministries, we know faces but don't often know names. We're excited to have this photo-directory as an instrument for you to use to get to know one another and our church better. I am looking forward to continued growth in our church family.

"Behold how good it is, and how pleasant, where brethren dwell as one" (Psalm 133:1). Holy Redeemer Catholic Church is a welcoming Catholic community, and each day strives to live out better the words of the psalmist. Jesus himself re-affirms this sense of brotherhood and love: "Where two or three are gathered in my name, there I am in their midst (Matthew 18:20) as a welcoming Catholic Community, we are called by God to live out the message of Christ in love and service to all people.

What better place to experience this sense of brotherhood than in the celebration of Holy Mass which is the center of the whole Christian life. For the universal church, the local church and for and for each one of the faithful. “All other sacred celebrations and activities of the Christian life are related to the mass; they spring forth from it and culminate in it (Vatican II: Sacred Liturgy I) consequently Holy Redeemer church tries to prepare well for the celebration of Sunday Mass. Invite your friends to be part of this process. Bring your talents to bear whether in music, or as a lector, interested in works of mercy, justice ministry, good in welcoming people as ushers, extraordinary ministers of holy communion and other services.

Do you know of someone who was part of our community but has withdrawn, or has joined a non-Catholic church community, do you know someone who is interested in the Catholic Church, but no one has approached him or her. There are people out there who needs some propping to become part of our community.

Jesus’ invitation to preach the gospel is the responsibility of all of us irrespective of our profession. Paul adds his voice: "But how shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how can they believe unless they have heard of him? And how can they hear unless they have heard of him? And how can they hear unless there is someone to preach? (Romans 10: 14)

I appeal to each and every one of us to join hands in building a loving, caring community, where everyone is welcome, make Holy Redeemer a loving and caring church community,  making new members feel at home. Let us care for our sick, give a call to those who are living alone. Access to the photo directory gives you access to phone numbers of members. It’s good to socialize after mass do not rush home after mass.
